The Real World plus Survivor plus a cat rescue home=the Meow Mix House.
The house is at 425 Madison Avenue in NYC, but you’ll have to catch it on Animal Planet.
Gothamist had a chance to visit the house before taping ended and NYCityPets hopes to catch a glimpse of the show, despite our lack of cable tv.

Today is Take Your Dog to Work Day. Considering so many of us cannot feasibly get any work done on this occasion, NYCityPets suggests an alternative: Spend the Day with Your Dog Day. What dog wouldn’t love a day like that?

News FLASH Flood! Nine Brooklyn Monsoon kittens rescued!
June 2006
Six-week-old kittens found living behind steel doors, under a soggy, leaky cardboard roof (very a la Greenpoint), with limited eating-out options and lack of human love! Seeking warm housing with proper kitten food instead of catching Brooklyn worms, since they are 5 inches long and scary.
View pix: Here
Interests and activities include: Lots of mewing, chowing down, creating one-of-a-kind-cat-hair-covered slippers, and kneading and reading your palm (Prediction: you will be an ecstatic kitten parent!)
They had weepy eyes due to being outdoors but all went to the vet to receive eye ointment and have almost made a full recovery already! Moms tested negative for FELV/FIV and the vet said they’re very healthy! Have been treated with Advantage and are flea-free.
(If you are interested in these kittens, please email the Cat-Lady-in-Training).
(Thanks, Laura Brahm for the tip. Photo from Kodak Gallery.com.)

When your dog gives you a longing, sad look because he wants your beer, give him one of his own that won’t kill him.
PikaPet wants your cute pet photos. Just point one of those flashing boxes at your pet and make a funny noise for instant cuteness.
