BARC Shelter ArtThe Brooklyn Animal Rescue Coalition art auction event was held last night at the shelter on North 1st Street. There were happy attendees all around: the volunteers who elegantly transformed the shelter into a gallery while raising much needed funds for shelter expansion and contributors who took home some nice art at a bargain price.

On Tuesday, June 26th, BARC is holding an art auction from 7:30 to 10:30 pm. Local artists donate work for the cause and your $25 ticket includes an evening of wine and h’ors doeuvers at the BARC shelter.
Later this summer, on July 22nd from 12:00 to 5:00, the Cat Carnival and Block Party takes place just outside the shelter. Food, music, pets for adoption, and cat experts will be there. Hopefully, you will too.
