Lost Dog: Yenta Yenta is a diabetic dog who is needs to find her way home. It is apparent from her photo that she has a microchip. (You see the yellow collar tag? That is from a Home Again Microchip). This means she will most likely find her way home if she is taken to a veterinarian and scanned or to an animal shelter. Hopefully her owners registered her microchip with their contact information….

Finding a Bed to Rest Her Head

This holiday season one of the items on our wishlist was a new bed for the girl. After a few accidents (shh, don’t tell her I told you she is a bed-wetter), and serious bone-burying into the old, round bed, it had nothing left to give. I really mean nothing! The old stuffed cedar-lined ball was in the trash long ago and it was replaced by several blankets. A most lumpy arrangement.
The new dog bed did not arrive as hoped this holiday, so the quest began for a suitable dog bed (a cuddler or nester-style bed) that would not break the bank.Double Sofa Bed from In the Company of Dogs catalogMurphy Pet Bed via Apartment TherapyCozy Cotton Cavy from In the Company of Dogs catalogNYC Taxi Cab Bed from Trixie and Peanut
Here are a few that you might like that we just could not afford:

Can you tell if she likes it or not? She already broke it in! And by that, I mean she chewed a hole in the pillow.Honey + Bed = Heart

Pet Shop: Pet Central

Pet Central On a cozy block of 76th Street just off Broadway you can find a new pet supply called Pet Central. I am pleasantly surprised to find that they both carry the dog food I buy and they have the lowest price around! This isn’t to say that all of their prices are lowest on every item, but I can tell you that the service is nice and they have free delivery too (in their area). This Pet Central is the newest of their 5 locations in Manhattan (website currently under re-construction).
Can you imagine shopping in such a crowded store (see photo)? Well, if not, you are not looking for pet supplies in NYC! Pet Central is at 235 West 76th Street. Phone: 212-712-1707Pet Central Window

MikaWhen we spotted little Mika in Prospect Park today, there was something extra special about her. Who would have known she’s already had a little internet fame via Daily Puppy?! Even if we are a little late to introduce her to the world, it was nice to meet Mika nonetheless.
