On a cozy block of 76th Street just off Broadway you can find a new pet supply called Pet Central. I am pleasantly surprised to find that they both carry the dog food I buy and they have the lowest price around! This isn’t to say that all of their prices are lowest on every item, but I can tell you that the service is nice and they have free delivery too (in their area). This Pet Central is the newest of their 5 locations in Manhattan (website currently under re-construction).
Can you imagine shopping in such a crowded store (see photo)? Well, if not, you are not looking for pet supplies in NYC! Pet Central is at 235 West 76th Street. Phone: 212-712-1707

Very nice store with a great selection and very good help. I only hope the owner gets them some signage on Broadway because I’m concerned they won’t stay in business if no one knows they are there. Depsite the half dozen “high end” pet food stores in the neighborhood I much prefer Pet Central. Prices at other stores run 20% higher than what I’d pay at petfooddirect.com but Pet Central is comparable.
