Here’s what I’m reading lately:
Ed the cat was rescued by a whole office staff. Thanks to the people at Echoing Green, Ed was removed from a car engine and given a new chance for a happy home. “Social Change Starts Here” could not be a better slogan for those people. They already posted a video of Ed on Facebook.

There is a new Meetup.com group for dogs and their people in Astoria.
Have you heard of Pickleball? It is a sport named after a family dog who would steal the ball during play. Want to learn more? Join the new Pickleball meetup.
The word is that prices have been “nibbled” down at Brooklyn Bunny. Go get yourself some lettuce room spray!
The people in some NYC dog run groups are discussing umbrellas for the upcoming rainy spring/sunny summer seasons, the issues with professional walkers bringing large groups of dogs into the runs, and concerns over dog aggression and how to handle problem situations. If you are interested in getting involved in your local dog run community, check with NYCDog for a list of groups. Your active involvement in the community groups will help keep the dog runs healthy.
Petfinder.com has a section of pet training videos and now hosts videos of adoptable pets. They help you find pets and, more importantly, keep them and help them learn good manners. If you are interested in helping homeless cats, Petfinder has posted webinars on helping cats in shelters and on the streets. You may need to register to view, but it will be worth it.
On Dogster, there is a memorial blanket contest going on until Monday the 23rd sponsored by Peternity. To enter, visit leave a comment on the Dogster Dogblog.
And over at Design Sponge, there is a plethora of fun and fabulous pet goods for under $100.
As you can see, my dog is begging for some playtime. That is all until tomorrow.
