Adopt Me: Porkchop and Applesauce

Meet two delicious kitten sisters known as Porkchop and Applesauce. These little tigers are looking for a home. They were found stray in a backyard with their mom, who has since gone home to live with their rescuer.
Because they have had a lot of friends to teach them why people are so great, Porkchop and Applesauce are very well socialized. These girls love other cats and playing together. They are as sweet as pie and really love to be cuddled.
Do you have room for another helping of fun after Thanksgiving? Email to learn more about our Porkchop and Applesauce.

Winston von Ralph needs a home. A really good home. He was found in Brooklyn, just a bag of bones. He is now healthy, neutered, and less than a year old. The people who rescued him have a full ship. They have embarked on training him, but the voyage must continue as he still has that young dog enthusiasm we all love so much. Winston von Ralph is a cuddly guy and is eager to please. Email for contact information. Also, click the photos to see a little more of him on Flickr

Adopt Me! O’Lover Boy and Coley

Sometimes people who love pets find themselves involved in rescue, whether it is just helping an elderly relative or coming across the path of a stray in need. Here are two families that have done just that. If you are interested, click the email links below and we’ll pass along the phone numbers to reach the foster families.
Coley is a beautiful, sweet, highly intelligent, loving cat who is looking for a new home. He is older but in good health, lively and extremely devoted to the person(s) he lives with. His owner of many years recently had to go into a nursing home. He will be a wonderful companion to whoever adopts him. If you are interested in meeting Coley, please email us.

Meet O’Lover Boy who found us on a dog walk one night. This sensational cat is loving, affectionate, playful and could be your new best friend. He could also become your dog’s best friend because he loves dogs and even possesses some canine behaviours (see photo). He would probably be great with another cat that would like a companion.
O’Lover is a one-and-a-half year old, male cat. He is neutered, healthy and has his shots. The only thing missing in his life is a loving home. To meet him, email us.

In honor of this being the month of June, we want you to meet this lovely, 5-year-old husky girl. She currently calls an animal hospital in Queens her home, but living in a medical facility doesn’t sound very fun. Luckily, June has a friend named Glenn who takes her out for walks while he volunteers for the Husky House.
You can learn more about adopting June by checking out the Husky House MySpace page and if you can’t get enough cuteness, check out her Flickr pages Here and Here.

Sophie needs a little help getting back on her feet. She was once in a loving family, but really needs a new place with outdoor space for her to frolick and go where Mother Nature intended for a cat to go. And you know what we mean by go, right?

Adopt Me! T-Bone

This special guy is getting a second post. Why? Because he doesn’t deserve to be stuck, sleeping in a kennel. We play with him every day and can tell you that this happy dog just wants a quiet, warm bed and some heavy duty toys to catch. Oh, and a great person to play with him too!
Mr. T has his own place on Petfinder, Craigslist, Flickr, and over at Kya’s Collars (see adoptions). We love him and have taught him to sit and ask for his toys, to lay down, and to enjoy a good belly rubbing. If you want to meet him, let us know.
UPDATE: T-Bone is now living a wonderful second life as Hank! He plays upstate in the grass on the weekends and sleeps in a warm, soft bed. Many people who know and love him could not be any happier with how things turned out for Hank.

T-Bone is a huggable mush of a dog. He is looking for a place to lay his head that is a little warmer and softer than the kennel he currently calls home.
This boy was found starving in the park, tied to the dog run, last year. Since that time, he’s regained strength and learned how to sit and play fetch.
We guess T-Bone is about 2 years old or so. He is extremely food motivated and eager to learn everything. He is not cat-friendly (will treat them just like squirrels), and is too rambunctious for children because he doesn’t know just how much strength he has.
So if you know an experience dog owner who has a little room in his/her heart and home, please spread the word about T-Bone!
